Meadows in the Tweed Valley

Meadows in the Tweed Valley
30 x 41 Oil/Linen

This is one of my favourite places and I have painted it many times at different times of the year and day. It's very close to my friend Jasmin's home in Biggar, Scotland. I would love to take a workshop here some day, so anyone interested let me know! Maybe next year.

It's lovely. I'd be interested in a workshop there.

I love the painting in your headline banner too. It conveys strength and peace and timelessness all at once.

Thanks Katherine... lovely praise indeed from such an accomplished painter! Thanks for your interest also in a workshop. It has been so hard to pin myself down lately, what with waiting for my citizenship to come through... have passed but now waiting for the Oath ceremony... and with my Dad being sick, but let's do it... let's organise a time of the year that would work for you and I will get busy. I know this area so well, it's so beautiful!. I will send you some more pics, or maybe post them. Thanks Katherine, have a lovely weekend.

Beautiful! I would also be interested in a workshop with you in Scotland...anywhere for that matter! I love your paintings, Lynne.

Rozanne, thank you so much. I am so encouraged by both yours and Katherine's interest. You can email me direct on mcwin@newmexico.com and let me know when would be a good time for you both. I have to say, my friend, who has lived there for over 20 years says May and September/October are the best times. Summer is lovely, but can be rainy. I was there a couple of years ago in September/October and it was glorious. Of course, Scotland or anywhere in the UK cannot be relied upon weatherwise! But I shall make alternative arrangements for inclement weather. Thanks again. Rozanne, the light in your paintings is gorgeous.

Your Tweed Valley looks like a version of paradise to me. I'll hold this image in my mind during my meditation practice. Thank you for the beauty!
