My other side







When I go out painting with the 'plein air master' (My husband, Barry McCuan!) I tend to do pastels. Somehow I just like the results more and actually would really like to scale up some of these abstracts into large oil paintings. What do you think? I think they would be fun to do! The above pastels are no larger than about 6" x 4" and inspired by water and a trip to the Hill Country, near Fredericksburg.

These are wonderful! I can surely
imagine all of the pastels in a large
format - especially the last three -
and I mean LARGE! Your palette is very
uplifting and cheerful. I absolutely
love the turquoises and greens. Keep
it up! Perfect for this time of year!

Thanks Lori... I think when we have finished cleaning the studio I might have a go!
