Painting and Printmaking and other things...
Lovely. What does the name mean?
I am not sure if it means anything Deborah. I don't think it has anything to do with paganism, but there are various references to wicken and wiccan on google, so who knows. This area is steeped in history, going back to Hereward the Wake. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hereward_the_WakeMaybe I should put this all on the blog! Anyhow, itis a National Trust property.http://www.wicken.org.uk/introduction.htm
God bless you Lynn and wishing you a great New Year. Hope things go well for you and your father. Glad to see you are still painting away.
Thanks Gary, wishing you the best for the New Year also.
thanks for sharing that very special place. I have now added Wicken Fen to my "must go see" list! I am so happy for you that you are able to experience it firsthand!
